Introduction:
Fiber Thermal Shrinkage Tester is the latest image-based high precision testing apparatus. It is developed to measure the dry thermal shrinkage of chemical fibers. The apparatus obtains the length of each objective fibers on the sample cylinder with a camera, calculates the difference of each fiber length before and after it is thermally treated, and then automatically calculates the average fiber thermal shrinkage and variation coefficient. The testing process is monitored by a computer, and the testing data are displayed and printed automatically.
The apparatus measures fast for using image processing method, and the results are precise and reproducible. The apparatus can be easily operated and it works with good stability.
The apparatus accords with the demand of standardized measuring method by the trade standard FZ/T50004. It is used to measure the dry thermal shrinkage of chemical fibers. And it can be widely used in man-made fiber manufactories, fiber-testing inspection bureau, and scientific research institutions, etc.
